Solution:

100) Error "Password does not match. Type the correct password"

Symptoms

   1. Using Acronis True Image you have created a password-protected backup archive;
   2. In Windows you put in the correct password when trying to mount, explore or restore the backup archive;
   3. Acronis True Image errors out with a message similar to the following one:

The password does not match. Type the correct password.

Cause

Certain DLL components did not install properly.

Solution

   1. Uninstall Acronis True Image and all its components through Add or Remove Programs (Start -> Control Panel);

   2. Remove the /Program Files/Common Files/Acronis folder;

   3. Open Windows Registry Editor (Start -> Run -> regedit) and remove the following subkey:

          * Windows 32 bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis
          * Windows 64 bit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Acronis

   4. Reboot the machine;

   5. Reinstall Acronis True Image.

101) Restore "My E-mail" backup creates new profile.

Restoring E-Mail Backup of Microsoft Outlook Creates a New Profile. You need to close Microsoft Outlook before restoring your E-mail backup.

Symptoms

   1. You restore an E-mail backup of Microsoft Outlook;
   2. As a result of the restore a new profile is created in Microsoft Outlook.

Cause

Microsoft Outlook is running during the restore process.

When running, Microsoft Outlook locks its database file (.pst). This makes Acronis True Image create a new profile.

Solution

Close Microsoft Outlook before restoring your E-mail backup.

Before restoring Microsoft Outlook mail messages, accounts, contacts, settings, etc. from My E-mail backup on a new computer with a newly installed Microsoft Outlook, you should launch Outlook at least once. If Microsoft Outlook is launched for the first time after restoring the E-mail information, it may malfunction.
